I'm having a strange issue with my Sorento 2.5 CRDi 2006. I was driving on a highway, and couple of hours in I started hearing this "slapping" or "knocking" sound from the engine. At first I thought it was a blown tire, but then the engine shut down. I rolled to the side of the road to a safe stop, and tried to restart the engine.
