Answer 1 of 4: I have 5 days (6 nights) to spend in Prague. Should I be worried that 5 days is too much? Should I try to spend 3 nights in Prague and 3 nights in Budapest?

My husband & I are flying into London on 19 December & we would like to visit Paris for a 4-5 days & we would like to visit Prague for a 4-5 days.Will it be too cold at Christmas time eg 22-26 December or we could be there a week later.Some ideas on what to see & where to stay would be great in Prague as neither of us has visited Prague before.We have been told that we can catch a train from 10 days—or even 7—is way too long for Prague imo. You're really overestimating how long things will take. Even if you really drag your heels, the castle is half a day tops. I'd cut back to like 5 days in Prague (which is still a day or two longer than I'd normally recommend) and condense your plans a bit. Olya and I filled 10 days in October, no problem. Do some city walking/exploring, throw in a river cruise, some shopping, a museum, an opera, and a couple of day trips (Kutna Hora and Dresden are exciting day trips), and your week will be gone.
